Frequently asked questions
How long do I have to ship after a sale?
You have 5 days to drop the parcel off at a Mondial Relay pickup point. The label is generated automatically as soon as the buyer pays.
Who pays the shipping costs?
The buyer. The amount is added to the order at checkout, calculated from the weight and size you enter on the listing.
When do I receive the money?
As soon as the buyer receives the parcel and confirms receipt. If they do nothing, the payment is released automatically 48 hours after the parcel is delivered. The money is credited to your Opla balance.
How do I get the money into my bank account?
From your profile → Balance → “Request a transfer”. You must have entered your IBAN in your bank details beforehand. The transfer reaches your account within 24 to 48 business hours.
What am I allowed to sell?
Any kind of second-hand or new item that fits our categories: fashion (women, men, kids), baby and childcare, toys, books, music, video games, home and decor, sport, handmade. The item must be shippable to a pickup point.
What is prohibited from sale on Opla?
The following are notably refused: weapons and dangerous objects (firearms, bladed weapons, knives, tasers, fireworks, flammables), counterfeits, medicines (prescription or over-the-counter), alcohol, tobacco and vaping, Shein and Temu items, adult or pornographic products, CBD and cannabis, opened cosmetics, worn underwear and swimwear (new ones with the tag are fine), live animals and products from protected species (ivory, fur), official documents (ID cards, licences, cheques), perishable food, any item exceeding Mondial Relay size limits, as well as any product whose sale is not permitted under applicable law. This list is not exhaustive — Opla may refuse any item that breaches its Terms or the law. In case of non-compliance, a listing may be removed — even if it's boosted, with no refund — and the account suspended in case of abuse.
Can I sell several copies of the same item (duplicates)?
Yes. You can post as many listings as you like, including the same item in several copies.
Is my listing visible immediately?
Yes, as soon as it's published. A listing can be temporarily hidden if it doesn't follow our rules; in that case you get a notification and the moderation is reviewed by a human.
Can I use AI-generated photos?
At least one real photo of your item is required. A listing containing only AI-generated photos may be removed — the buyer must be able to see the real condition of the product.
Can I boost my listings?
Yes, from your profile → “My items” you can boost a listing or promote your entire wardrobe.
