Extremely rare Art Deco sugar bowl in porcelain with stylized fountain motif – Henri Delcourt, c. 1925

Magnificent Art Deco era sugar bowl (circa 1925) in fine French porcelain, stamped under the base with the initials H.D. at the marine anchor (Manufacture Henri Delcourt). A true testament to the refinement of the Roaring Twenties, this model captivates with its very sleek polygonal shape with flat proportions that are very graphic, enhanced by two angular golden handles and a pyramidal lid with a stepped handle. Its central decor features the famous "water jet" motif (stylized fountain), an iconic emblem of the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in Paris in 1925. The composition combines powdered pink swirls, duck blue accents, and delicate golden edges. The porcelain is sound, without cracks or chips, and the original gilding retains a very beautiful brilliance.
