✨ Rare and authentic Belgian religious devotional item ✨ I offer you this magnificent portable reliquary / pocket diptych in brown leather, dating from the 20th century. A very nice collectible or folk Christian faith item in Belgium. 🔍 Features and content: 📸 Left panel: Period portrait of Brother Mutien-Marie (Louis-Joseph Wiaux, 1841-1917), famous Belgian religious of the Brothers of the Christian Schools in Malonne, beatified and then canonized Saint by John Paul II. 📜 Right panel: A genuine 2nd class relic (ex indumentis). It reveals a small black piece of fabric under protection surrounded by a coat of arms with lily motifs, with the printed circular inscription: "PARCEL OF THE CLOTHING OF FR. MUTIEN-MARIE". 📏 Ultra-compact miniature format: Approximately 4.5 × 4.5 ext{ cm} (closed). Designed at the time to be discreetly slipped into a jacket pocket, wallet or pilgrim bag to accompany the faithful. 🎚 Condition: The exterior leather has a very nice authentic patina due to time and handling, testifying to its history (see photos).
