Polychrome talking plate Creil & Montereau – Lebeuf Milliet & Cie – 19th century

Very beautiful antique talking plate in opaque porcelain / fine earthenware from Creil and Montereau, Lebeuf, Milliet & Cie factory, dating from the mid-19th century, around 1845-1860. Particularly successful polychrome decoration, with a central bacchic scene representing a man in front of barrels, accompanied by the legend: “9 – As soon as the light.” Very pretty border richly decorated with floral motifs, with beautiful colors still present: green, pink, yellow, red and brown. The stamp on the reverse mentions the gold medals of 1834, 1839 and 1844, awards won by the factory. A very pretty collectible piece, decorative and typical of the productions of Creil and Montereau of the 19th century. General good condition for its age. No crack or large chip. Some slight traces of use and small marks on the reverse, visible in the photos. The decoration remains very well preserved and the plate really presents very well.
