Antique Terre De Fer cup – Japanese-inspired decor – late 19th century

Very pretty small antique Terre De Fer earthenware cup, adorned with an elegant Japanese-inspired design composed of flowering and leafy branches, accompanied by a winding blue ribbon, in shades of blue, turquoise, mauve and brown. The design seems to be partly printed, with polychrome highlights hand-painted. Beautiful brown geometric frieze on the entire upper edge as well as a small design on the handle. Piece probably datable from the late 19th / early 20th century, in the spirit of Sarreguemines productions and the major European faience factories of that period. Small inscription painted in red under the base. A pretty antique piece, very decorative, with a beautiful Japanese-inspired design typical of the late 19th century. Good general condition considering its age. Presence of an antique patina, enamel cracks and some slightly grainy areas in places. No large chips or visible cracks. Weight: approximately 100 g.
