Stunning antique Terre De Fer platter, signed A. Lebacqz & M. Bouchart in Saint-Amand-les-Eaux, Lucerne model. A particularly interesting piece due to its rare wine-lees red variation. The Lucerne decor is more commonly found in a blue or blue-green version, while this red variant seems much harder to find. This is also a true shape piece, much more elaborate than a classic platter: its basin is molded with radiating grooves that give it a very beautiful relief, while its beveled and delicately serrated outline emphasizes its elegant oval shape. The floral decor, composed of large flowers and foliage, harmoniously frames the piece. Its beautiful antique patina and the fine network of enamel cracks bring it all the charm of an authentic collectible tableware. An uncommon shape piece, as beautiful displayed alone in a showcase as on a table, ideal for Terre De Fer enthusiasts, antique tableware, or to complete a Lucerne service. Very good condition for its age: no chips and no cracks. Only natural antique patina, perfectly visible in the photographs.
